200 Degrees Coffee opens its new coffee shop in Liverpool

Speciality coffee roaster 200 Degrees has opened a new 72-seater coffee shop in Liverpool’s Metquarter centre, bringing its signature fresh food menu, hand roasted coffee and 20 new jobs to the city.

The highly trained barista team will be serving freshly roasted coffee from the 200 Degrees roast house in Nottingham, as well as cold brew, nitro coffee, iced tea, smoothies and milkshakes.

The 2,000 sq. ft coffee shop includes unique features such as a cosy sunken seating area, bespoke artwork and outdoor cafe seating.

Tom Vincent, Co-Founder and Director at 200 Degrees, said: “The 200 Degrees team have worked very hard to make this day happen and we are delighted to open our doors in the go-to retail destination that is Liverpool’s Metquarter.

“The city has an incredible food and drink scene which we can’t wait to be a part of and in our prime position on the ground floor of the centre, we relish the chance to serve people shopping, working in neighbouring businesses or anyone seeking out a relaxing space to enjoy our hand roasted coffee, freshly prepared food and perhaps one or two of our sweet treats.

“As with all of our coffee shops, we’ve worked very hard to give the Liverpool store a unique, welcoming atmosphere with our signature ‘Hand Made in England’ copper wall, comfy interior, and outdoor café seating area – where customers can enjoy the warmer months.”

200 Degrees, which was set up by Tom and his business partner Rob Darby in 2012, has distinctive coffee shops in Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester, Cardiff and Lincoln, as well as its roast house in Nottingham. The company has further plans to grow, with its second Birmingham coffee shop opening in August, as well two more shop openings planned for later this year.

The new Liverpool Metquarter coffee shop is the ninth 200 Degrees coffee shop in the UK
