A warm welcome to FDMB Live (second helpings!)

When we held our first FDMB Live event in March this year at Myerscough College there was a real feeling on the day that we had created something very special.

The truth is that the ‘secret sauce’ or ‘special ingredient’ wasn’t the event itself, but the people and businesses who attended.

Emotional, uplifting, inspirational, focus driven and friendship making were just a few of the words that people we spoke to afterwards said of the day.

With all that in mind we were determined to not let people wait 12 months for a second helping!

It is with great pleasure that we have been able to bring FDMB Live to the wonderful county of Cumbria. A county that we have a lot of affection for as a family and one where a warm welcome is always guaranteed.

We would like to give our sincere thanks to Sean and Emma from the Junction 36 Conference Centre for whom nothing is too much trouble.

We would like to thank our event sponsors Bidfood, Cartmell Shepherd and TryBooking whose enthusiasm for the event and faith in us to deliver the numbers has been appreciated.

Equally, we would like to thank our exhibitors and workshop presenters for their support and once again enthusiasm for FDMB Live. They are a fantastic bunch, with great solutions and are here to help your businesses grow, develop and thrive.

We would like to thank Maria Grieco of Dinner at Marias, not only for the wonderful food she will be serving but also for the calm way she told us to ‘just leave it to me and stop worrying’ when we were fretting as to what to feed 150 foodies! Thank you also to Lovingly Artisan for donating their amazing bread for the day and also CoolKit for use of their chilled vehicle.

A huge thank you also goes out to our guest speakers for the day who are travelling from Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire and Northumberland to spend time with you, telling their start up stories and helping to guide and inspire you.

Thank you also to the stunning Dome House for sponsoring the speakers accommodation.

Last but by no means least we would like to thank you, our day delegates. Had you not spent money buying tickets for the event it simply would not have happened. The fact that we completely sold out our day delegate ticket allocation is all down to your desire to be part of it all.

What we can say for sure is that you are all now part of the ‘Food and Drink Means Business Community’, you are among friends and we hope you have a wonderful day.

Paul and Dawn Caunce
