The Viva Vegas Diner & Bar in Blackpool is embracing its American roots with the launch of its very own food challenge extravaganza!
The American style food challenges made popular with shows such as Man vs Food have seen an increase in popularity across the UK. Now customers to the Viva Vegas Diner can take on the belly-busting challenges.
The first challenge to be launched by the diner is the ‘Lord of the Wings.’ Diners have to conquer the 20 chicken wings marinated in blistering hot Carolina Reaper sauce covered in Jalapeno’s and spring onions in just 10 minutes, followed by a five minute burn period, without drinking. Anyone who can complete the challenge will walk away without having to pay the bill.
Martin Heywood, joint owner of the Viva Vegas Diner & Bar said: “Food Challenges have a cult following in America providing endless fun for families and friends and it just felt like the natural next step for our own diner to embrace this American past time.
“We do have to admit that some challenges we have seen look completely impossible so we have designed and created a range of challenges that have been tried and tested and can actually be done… though only by those brave enough to take it on. There really is a good chance that if you can stand the heat, you could complete the Lord of the Wings.”
A further set of food challenges are to be launched over the coming months. The Viva Vegas Diner & Bar will also create it’s very own ‘Wall of Fame’ for competitors taking on the challenges.
