Hawkshead Brewery have launched Lighter Times, a brand new beer which the company says recognises the change in consumer trends and the need to move with what people want from low alcohol beers.
Steve Ricketts, Managing Director said: “We’re excited to be launching Hawkshead Lighter Times 0.5% Low Alcohol Pale Ale, our first foray into the expanding low and no alcohol space. Matt and the team have developed a beer that delivers the taste, flavour and drinkability that consumers know and love about Hawkshead Beers.”
Matt Clarke, Head Brewer at Hawkshead Brewery said ‘I really wanted to produce a beer I would be happy to drink myself, this was certainly a challenge with low alcohol beer. We have worked really hard to pack as much flavour into this beer as possible and I am really happy with the results’
Hawkshead Brewery will be launching their new beer Lighter Times exclusively at Leeds International Beer Festival and at their Tap – The Beer Hall and online shop on Thursday 5th September. Lighter Times will be available in shops across the country from Monday 9th September.
The brewers are also the official beer sponsors of the Tour of Britain.
