Jobs at risk at North Wales food visitor attraction

Up to 50 jobs at Bodnant Welsh Food Centre could be at risk as the company enters into a consultation on redundancies.

Advisory firm Smith Cooper was brought in last month as the centre looked to find a buyer through an accelerated sales process, and FDMB North West understands that without a buyer, the centre will only continue to trade until 30th November.

Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, which recently welcomed its millionth visitor, is located on the banks of the River Conwy.

Dean Nelson, Head of Business Recovery and Insolvency at Smith Cooper, said: “Our main aim is to try and secure the future of the business and its employees by finding a suitable buyer. Should one be found, the status of any future events will be at their discretion.”
