Manchester-based food importer TrueRice has launched its online platform to supply premium quality organic rice to the UK’s discerning diners.
TrueRice specialises in sourcing and supplying ‘the highest quality rice on earth’ by going straight to quality growers worldwide.
The company operates by connecting directly with rice farms and mills to ensure they supply only the highest quality organic rice that is grown sustainably and, most importantly, tastes fantastic.
Current producers are based in Piedmont and the Himalayas and further rice varieties will be added as TrueRice continue to develop their distinctive offer.
Core to TrueRice’s values is the importance of sustainability. They use suppliers who adhere to certified eco-friendly production techniques that minimise harm to the environment and operate on Fair Trade terms.
The company extends its core philosophy into their product packaging. All their rice varieties come in bags made from laminated Kraft paper which is 100% recyclable and landfill friendly.
Their range includes family favourites such as basmati, risotto and wholegrain rice. Also available are Italian black and red rice that will entice UK rice lovers to discover new ways to enjoy this healthy dinner table staple.
TrueRice turned to local digital marketing specialists Mechanised who delivered the eCommerce store and helped the company develop its brand and packaging. The product range will be expanding over the coming months and is available to buy online at TrueRice.co.uk.
Commenting on the launch, TrueRice CEO Hamdi Harbaoui said: “I’m delighted to have launched TrueRice and to bring the UK’s highest quality, fully sustainable rice brand to the market. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work by my team and our development partners Mechanised.
“Despite the current situation, we made our first online sale within 24 hours of the site going live and it continues to grow each day. There’s no doubt our customers will relish our products and take delight in the look and taste of delicious, ethically sourced artisan rice.”
