Signature Living, the boutique hotel developer, is putting its two best-known Liverpool hotels on the market, The Shankly Hotel and 30 James Street.
The company aims to reach £50m-plus through the sales in order to fund their expansion plans, which could see the company grow from 1,400 employees to around 3,000 over the next 18 months.
Themed around legendary Liverpool FC manager Bill Shankly, The Shankly Hotel was developed in collaboration with members of the Shankly family and is valued at around £40m.
The 63-bed hotel, 30 James Street, which opened in 2014 and includes the Carpathia restaurant, has been valued at £17m.
Signature’s ongoing developments in Liverpool include the Dixie Dean Hotel opposite the Shankly in Victoria Street, while the developer has also announced plans to turn the Cavern Walks complex into a hotel.
Further afield, it is working on two schemes in Belfast, two in Manchester, and projects in Preston, Cardiff and Rainhill.
