UK first ‘eco eatery’ set to open in Ribble Valley next Spring

The owners of Clitheroe’s Gazegill Organic Farm are set to open the UK’s first entirely sustainable, carbon neutral ‘eco eatery’.

FDMB North West understands that the new 300 sq m site will be positioned within their 250-acre farm estate at Rimington and will be an ‘off the grid’, green oaked framed and glass building which will be powered by wind and solar.

The business is run by husband-and-wife team Ian O’Reilly and Emma Robinson, with Ian commenting: “As custodians of Gazegill, we feel a huge responsibility to continue the forward-thinking work of the Robinson family, whose vision to farm ethically, organically and with kindness to the environment was way ahead of its time.”

The Gazegill Organic Farm eco-eatery will serve organic food which has been farmed on its own land, and is on schedule to launch around May or June 2019.
